We are looking forward to new places to share FeltPlayful in 2010, as well as new products. In 2010, we added new products such as, a grill or stove, t-bone steak, ribs, fish & chicken legs. We also added a wedge of watermelon, that is simply beautiful. We also added beautiful new hats to our product line.

Busy Summer! Help fill our calendar!

I can't believe it, but it is indeed almost June. We had a good spring with 3 shows each with their own personalities and learning opportunities. We are looking for fall shows. We have an addition to the FeltPlayful family coming in October, so preferably 1-day shows. Please send us information on shows or fall festivals, we'd love to make some new friends this fall.

We are getting ready to launch our summer design and production schedule. What would you like to see FeltPlayful make next? We have our own list of things we want to make, but as our customers and fans, we'd love to hear your ideas. Please send them to us.

Currently Val is working on inventory on the products that sold out this spring. I've been working on our party plan specials. Some of the items include a cake, pizza and taco/pita.

FeltPlayful Home Market PlayDates are starting to get booked. We'd love to come to your house and introduce your friends and neighbors to FeltPlayful, and let you earn some great toys for your kids at the same time. Send us a message and let's get you on the calendar!

Busy Spring

WOW WOW WOW, It has been a great spring.

We started the season with a show at the Alpharetta Children's Festival. It was crazy windy, but the crowds really came out this year. Our Hand Me Down Dress Me Ups were very well received and lots of little girls have cute dresses.

Last weekend we were at the Spring Jonquil Festival. Amazing crowd. Working with Doggy Baby is an AMAZING partnership. The 3 of us had such a good time and jumped in and helped each other. It shows how powerful women are when we work together. We laughed a lot at the show.

Saturday the weather was horrible, at noon the management company came and asked all vendors to evacuate because the line of storms heading our way were strong. We evacuated and returned after lunch to finish closing down the booths. We came around the corner and there was a downed tent...the weight of the water had pushed the inner structure basically inside out. (We laughed even more). So we got rid of the squished tent and secured the good tent, gathered all of the wet fabric/tablecloths and went home for the day.

Sunday was beautiful, we decided to do an indoor/outdoor booth, which turned out to be perfect. I'll post pictures of the set up (and maybe some of the collapsed tent for fun).

Next up is Kirkwood Festival, Saturday, May 15th. We'd love to see you there.

Wow...I didn't realize how delinquent I'd been in our postings. Sorry for that.

Let's see, a brief catchup...Sprayberry was a great show, we met new friends and our "HandMeDown - DressMeUps" did great with their debut.

What are HandMeDown - DressMeUps? Val takes gently used girls clothing and adds beautiful felt and ribbon decorations. Her use of color and ribbon is amazing. It is one of the moments that make Val & I really appreciate our differnet strengths and talents (and patience).

So what does 2010 hold for FeltPlayful?

We have added some great new products including chocolates, grills & stoves, and flowers. We have a list of other new items we want to tackle this year including a set of baby food for girls to play with their baby dolls, meat and sushi.

Where can I see FeltPlayful this year?

We will be at the Alpharetta Children's Festival, Saturday, March 27, 2010.
We are applying to the Spring Jonquil Festival & Kirkwood Fling.
We are looking for fall shows (2-3) so if you have any suggestions please let us know.

Sprayberry is coming!!

Wow, July was a long time ago...or maybe it just seems that way because we've been busy!

We had a great time at the Garrison Mill Elementary School Fall Festival and met some great new friends.

I'm pleased to announce that FeltPlayful has expanded our products to the Felt Fun part of our tag line. We have added headbands and hair clips, beautiful jeans and skirts for little girls and felt necklaces.

We are gearing up for the Sprayberry show. Saturday, November 21st from 9-5 and Sunday, November 22nd from 12-4.

If you are a FaceBook fan or follower and you visit us at Sprayberry, you will get a piece of breakfast food for free. Or if you bring us a ziploc bag of buttons you will get a piece of breakfast food for free.

We just learned today that we will be a vendor in the 2009 Sprayberry Craft Show. Nov 21st, 9a-5p & Nov 22nd, 12p-4p. The show is at Sprayberry High School in Marietta. Details to follow.

The Marietta 4th of July Show was great.

Thank you to all of our new friends that stopped by and checked out our felt food. It was a pleasure to meet each of you.

We had an interesting start on Friday night during set-up - our tent broke, actually kind of flipped inside out and the metal structure snapped in about 5 places. Thanks to all of our 'neighbors' for the help in getting the tent back down and disposed of. After we got a new tent, we were up and running. The booth was beautiful and very kid friendly!

We are working now on some new pieces & also getting the shopping cart feature on the website working.

Welcome to April. It snowed in Atlanta today - yes snow, not a lot, but snow.

We are gearing up for the rest of 2009. We are applying to 2 more shows - 4th of July on the Marietta Square & Sprayberry High School in November. More details to come.

We have started a few new pieces including a beet, a purse and a tool kit, and a pizza so look for those soon.

We are on facebook (I know it took us long enough), remember we are feltplayful (one word). The website is in progress.

I hope everyone is doing well and remembering that life is too short to take it too seriously, so feel playful everyday!

We had a great time at The Alpharetta Children's Festival.

Even though the event was moved indoors thanks to A LOT of rain, we had a good crowd and the booth was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thanks for the friends that came to see us, and thanks so much for those of you that chose some feltplayful to go home with you. We hope you enjoy your felt food.

For our new friends that we met today - It was great to meet you. Looking forward to seeing you at other shows and events.

We are planning a few more shows for this year, stay tuned.

But that won't cancel the Alpharetta Children's Festival. It will still be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 as planned, but instead of being on the event lawn it will be inside the Alpharetta Community Center.

Wow, the month of March has flown by. With 6 days left to go, I am very thankful that most of our work was done by the first weekend in March. We are still working on last pieces of special order items, but everything is falling into place.

We had a great weekend of prep work for the March 28, 2009, Alpharetta Children's Festival.

We did a pre-set of our booth, took some great pictures which disappeared from the camera. Looked at them last night, but today - they are gone.

Finishing up tomatoes, strawberries, eggs, milk cartons and mushrooms.

27 days until the Alpharetta Children's Festival. Gearing up, We've spent the last couple of days making bacon, pancakes, mushrooms, oranges, apples, limes and lemons.

Made a super cute piece of birthday cake for my dear friend Kate. We will have it available for special order at the March 28th Alpharetta Children's Festival.

The cake is a generous sized, 3 layer cake with beautiful "icing" rosettes and piping and if requested, we can add a single letter "icing" monogram on the top.

It is designed to hold a gift card - so how about that, a gift in a gift. Will hopefully post a pic soon.

Greetings! It has been a busy week and a half at FeltPlayful. Our goal for the month of February is to have everything ready for the Alpharetta Childrens Festival on March 28, 2009.

What does "Everything Ready" mean? It means all of our items are completed and ready for the booth. Our booth design is completed, just need some signage.

It was a pretty simple system, we did an inventory and developed a cutting list. And thanks to our Moms, after 5 hours of cutting everything was cut.

Now we sew.

Over Valentine's weekend I sewed 132 green beans, 50 lemons, 30 tomatoes & 50 red apples. Still left to sew tonight - 15 green apples and 50 limes. All that's left are pancakes, eggs, bacon milk cartons and mushrooms.

Stay tuned for updates. 41 days until the Alpharetta Childrens Festival.
